Stand against Drugs, Save the Nation’s Youth

Drugs are silently destroying the future of countless young people across the globe. Under the powerful slogan “Stand against Drugs, Save the Nation’s Youth,” communities are coming together to raise awareness and take collective action against the growing menace of drug abuse.

Don’t Miss Out the Stories:

The youth are the backbone of any nation. When they fall victim to addiction, it doesn’t just impact individuals—it weakens families, disrupts social harmony, and undermines national development. This campaign emphasizes the urgent need for preventive education, community involvement, and strong law enforcement to fight drug-related issues.

Schools, parents, and local authorities must work hand in hand to educate young people about the dangers of drugs. Rehabilitation, support for addicts, and vocational alternatives for those involved in drug production are also essential to breaking the cycle.

Let us unite to say no to drugs and yes to a brighter, healthier future for the next generation. Every action counts—because saving our youth is saving our nation.

After the rally, Kaptai Upazila Assistant Education Officer Ankhi Talukder, Chitmorom Union Chairman Waislimong Chowdhury, Head Teacher of Islami Government Primary School Holathoi Khi Marma, Head Teacher of Chitmorom Residential School Monirul Islam, UP Member Sirajul Islam, and Kapru Chowdhury, among others, delivered speeches.

In the pre-rally speech, Rangamati District Council Member Kyawsing Mong said, “Drugs do us no good. Drugs are the root cause of the destruction of our youth. To stop drug use, we must first raise public awareness against it.”

He added, “We must help those involved in drug production by rehabilitating them and guiding them toward alternative professions.”

Later, the District Council provided financial support, giving 5,000 BDT each to 22 individuals who had stopped producing drugs and returned to regular work. They also distributed fishing nets to 20 families who rely on fishing for their livelihood.

In addition, over 200 students from three primary schools received educational supplies.
