Bangladesh Navy Provides Free Medical Camp to 200+ Patients at Health Care in Rangamati to Mark July Reawakening 2025
As part of the “July Reawakening Celebration 2025,” the Bangladesh Navy provided free medical services to underprivileged and distressed individuals in Kaptai, Rangamati.
On Monday, July 28, from 2 PM to 5 PM, under the command of the Chattogram Naval Area, a free medical camp was held at the Kaptai High School field. The initiative included medical consultations and the distribution of essential medicines to needy and impoverished patients.

More than 200 patients gathered from various wards under Ward No. 4 of the Kaptai Union Parishad, including areas like Natun Bazar, Dhakaiya Colony, Lockgate, Swarnatila, BFIDC Tila, Industrial Zone, Chicken Tila, KPM Tila, and Bashkendra.
Patients such as Anwar, Molla, Shahadat, Jesmin, and Aleya expressed their gratitude, saying the Bangladesh Navy’s free healthcare service in connection with the July Reawakening was a much-needed and appreciated gesture.
The medical program was supervised and conducted by Senior Medical Officer Surgeon Lt. Commander Nazia Zebin Julhas, BN, and Medical Officer Surgeon Lt. Sadi Md. Zubayer, BN, from BNS Shaheed Moazzem—a naval base under the Bangladesh Navy.
Through such welfare initiatives, the Bangladesh Navy continues to ensure healthcare access for marginalized populations in the remote regions of Rangamati, exemplifying the Navy’s humanitarian commitment. Future welfare activities of similar nature are also planned.
BNS Shaheed Moazzem, located in Kaptai under Rangamati district, is a key training base of the Bangladesh Navy and actively participates in humanitarian aid and rescue operations in the hilly regions.
