Colorful Observance of July Martyrs’ Day by Chattogram BRTA

The Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) Chattogram Divisional Office has observed July Martyrs’ Day 2025.
To mark the day, BRTA Chattogram organized a special two-hour road safety campaign this Wednesday morning at the city’s GEC intersection. During the event, transport drivers, workers, passengers, and pedestrians were handed various leaflets on road safety. Additionally, placard exhibitions and public announcements via loudspeakers were held to raise awareness about traffic safety among the general public.
On the same day, after Zuhr prayers, a milad and special prayer session was held at the BRTA mosque located in the New Para BRTA compound in memory of the martyrs and the injured from the July uprising.
As part of the July Martyrs’ Day 2025 observance, a road safety training workshop was also held yesterday at the historic Government Muslim High School, involving teachers, students, and parents.
Moreover, in the BRTA compound, 36 saplings of various fruit and forest trees were planted in memory of the brave martyrs of the July uprising.
These programs were attended by Masud Alam, Director (Engineering) of BRTA Chattogram Divisional Office; Syed Ainul Huda Chowdhury, Deputy Director (Engineering) of Chattogram Metro Circle-2; Md. Omar Faruk, Assistant Director (Engineering) of Chattogram Metro Circle-2; Rayhana Akter Urthi, Assistant Director (Engineering) of Chattogram District Circle, as well as various officials and employees from the New Para and Halishahar BRTA offices.
The special campaign was supported by multiple organizations, including the Roads and Highways Department (RHD) Chattogram, BRTC Chattogram, Traffic Division (North) of CMP Chattogram, the Student Auxiliary Traffic Police of Chattogram, and BIKETTC Chattogram.
