Kaptai Authorities Urge Vigilance Ahead of August 5

Call for Vigilance on August 5 at Kaptai Law and Order Committee Meeting
The monthly meeting of the Kaptai Upazila Law and Order Committee was held in Rangamati. Authorities urged everyone, regardless of political affiliation, to remain vigilant on August 5.
The meeting was held on Wednesday, July 30, at Kinnari Hall Room. It was chaired by Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Acting UNO Neli Rudra. The session began with a discussion on the overall law and order situation in Kaptai. Special focus was given to frequent power outages, drug abuse, and theft incidents. The recent seizure of smuggled goods by BGB was praised.

Kaptai Police Station OC Md. Masud urged everyone to stay alert to prevent any untoward incidents on August 5. Kaptai Press Club President Kabir Hossain raised the issue of power load-shedding.
Committee Chair and Acting UNO Neli Rudra expressed concern and dissatisfaction. She called on the authorities to monitor the power situation from August 5.
Moreover, it was noted during the meeting that the overall law and order situation in Kaptai Upazila is comparatively good. In fact, all attendees unanimously agreed on this point.

The meeting concluded with a special prayer and supplication (munajat) for the recovery of Kaptai Upazila Executive Officer Md. Ruhul Amin, who is currently unwell. The prayer was led by Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Muhammad Harunur Rashid.
